Using the Email Encryption Add-on

To use Email Encryption, it must be added to all Office 365 mailboxes on your account.
Encryption is a way to protect data from being seen or tampered with by other people. The Email Encryption Add-on for Office 365 offers extra security on your email while it is "in transit," making it virtually impossible for the contents of the email to be stolen.
Office 365 email is already encrypted when it is on the Microsoft servers, "at rest." However, it isn't encrypted while it's being sent from one user to another.
