Set a custom 404 page in my Linux Hosting account

404 pages display when someone tries to access a page on your website that doesn't exist. You can use your home page as your 404 page, or you can create a custom one as explained here.

Note: Server-side scripts, such as PHP, might not work on custom 404 pages because of how web server software (such as Apache) handles them.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Under Web Hosting, next to the Linux Hosting account you want to use, click Manage.

  3. In the account Dashboard, click cPanel Admin.
  4. In the cPanel Home page, in the Advanced section, click Error pages.
  5. In Error Pages, under Step 1 - Select Domain to Manage Error Pages, select the domain you want to use.
  6. Below Step 2 - Edit Error Pages for: [your domain name], click 404 (Not found).
  7. Edit the custom HTML for the page, and then click Save.
