Scheduling Tasks with Plesk Shared Hosting

Our Plesk shared hosting accounts let you schedule tasks, which are similar to Cron jobs on Linux-based accounts.

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy account.
  2. Click Web Hosting.
  3. Next to the account you want to use, click Manage.
  4. Click Scheduled Tasks.
  5. Click the System user you want to use.
  6. Click Schedule New Task.
  7. Complete the details for the task, and then click OK.

The executable and argument paths differ for ASPX and PHP files.

Note: None of these files need to be stored on your local computer. They are all stored on your hosting account.

ASPX Files

Argument -c "(new-object system.net.webclient).downloadstring('http://[domain.tld]\[path]\[file_name]')"

PHP Files

Type Path
Executable C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\Additional\PleskPHP54\php-cgi.exe
