Reschedule your data center migration

If you scheduled a migration for your website to a new data center, you can reschedule as long as the migration hasn't started. You may want to do this to minimize downtime during the migration - for example, reschedule so the migration happens when fewer people may be visiting.

Warning: Your website will experience downtime while it's being migrated between data centers. Unfortunately, there is no way to circumvent the downtime.
  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Under Web Hosting, next to the Linux Hosting account you want to migrate, click Manage.
    click manage
  3. In the account Dashboard, in the Settings section, select Server.
    select server
  4. Next to Data center, click Change and select the new time at which you want to perform the migration.

Guides: These timeframes display in local time for the person viewing the page. If you schedule the migration for a customer, it will happen in your local time. If that doesn't work for a customer, you have to guide them through selecting the timeframe themselves.

  5. Click Migrate or Start migration and complete any necessary purchases.

We'll email you to confirm the migration, when it starts and when it's complete.
